Switchable Glass - Boardroom Movie Scene Philadelphia

Last Updated on July 29, 2016 by SwitchGlass

The use of Switchable Glass in movie scenes has been popular within the film industry for some time now.

High drama, intrigue and suspense can be heightened through the use of glass technology such as electrically charged switchable glass – and what a great way to subconsciously subject viewers to the latest trends in glass!

Common movie scenes feature the glass in interrogation rooms, clinical areas, offices, military quarters and private spaces. The ability to change from frosted glass to transparent and back again at the flick of a switch now supersedes the opening and closing of blinds or the drawing of curtains.

A recent and more creative use for switchable glass was the special effects of a forest and shadows on a building skin.

High impact laminated and bullet resistant glass can also serve as the perfect prop in action-packed movies.

Here’s a list of films that used electric switchable glass in one of their scenes:

Movies

Blade Runner
Philadelphia
The Sum of All Fears
Skyfall
Captain America – The Winter Soldier
Big Hero 6

Television

24
CSI Miami – Legal
Lie To Me
White Collar – Hard Sell
